OUTREACH Coordinator

The Outreach Coordinator is an engaging, entry-level position in community relationship development and marketing with an outstanding potential for advancement and long-term career satisfaction. The right candidate is a friendly, self-confident and self-disciplined person with a strong commitment to community development who will help communicate enthusiastically with SoHum residents about the Southern Humboldt Community Healthcare District (SHCHD) and all its departments. This employee will work closely with the PR Director, the Foundation Board, and the District's outreach team to help create and deliver a compelling message about the vital services we deliver and out critical need to build a new hospital in southern Humboldt County. Additional responsibilities include helping to develop communication materials, manage the donor database, and produce skills building, networking, and fundraising events. Excellent written and verbal skills required. BA/BS and/or equivalent years of relevant experience in local organizations strongly preferred, So Hum local strongly preferred. Full Time or Part Time Position. Position includes, but is not limited to, infection monitoring and reporting, infection risk assessment and prevention, policy and procedure development, staff education, and outbreak management. Employee Health role includes, but is not limited to, new employee and annual health assessments, immunization programs, exposure management, and safe patient handling programs. Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing to interface with employees, medical staff, and state, local, and federal health departments and programs. BSN preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.


$15 per hour. Full time (32+ hrs/wk). Medical, dental, PTO benefits. Part-time and per diem available. Cook and follow a planned menu. Maintain dietary department sanitation. No license or certification required. Willing to cross train in Housekeeping preferred. 


Perfect position for a registered nurse who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and enjoys leading a team. Full-Time incumbent oversees the staff and daily operations of an 8-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.  BSN required, previous management experience required.  Must be familiar with Title 22 and skilled nursing regulations. This position is a great fit for an experienced Director looking for a positive career change.


Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem Position.  Current RN License and CPR certification required. Work 12-hour shifts in our critical access acute care & emergency room.


Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem Positions. Direct Patient Care, activities with the residents/ patients. Must possess CNA Certificate and CPR Certification.
